Disney Girls Trip Last Day!

Last days are usually sad, but this one started out fun for stacey and me! Since we had season passes, we decided to wake up and go have coffee on Main Street! It is so wonderful to have the freedom to just dip into the parks whenever you want and not have to worry about the price of admission.

It was chilly this morning, more so than the other three days of out trip. But, regardless, we decided to take the ferry to Magic Kingdom. I love taking the ferry. Floating along on a boat is the most amazing feeling, especially at Disney! We sat inside, so it wasn’t cold at all. We just really enjoyed ourselves.

Once we got to Starbucks, it was quite a long line, like always. While we were in line, I remembered that there was a new cinnamon roll in Fontierland that I wanted to try. So, for an extra protein boost, we decided to split the egg white and turkey sausage english muffin and then also share the pecan bacon and caramel sauce cinnamon roll!

Walking down main street with no agenda or need to be on a ride felt amazing! We got the cinnamon roll and wound up finding a bench on the patio walkway. I was super excited about this cinnamon roll. The unique combination of pecans and bacon in a caramel sauce was intriguing. But honestly, I should have known better. For some reason it wasn’t flavorful at all. You couldn’t taste the pecans or the bacon. The caramel sauce was delicious. The cinnamon roll was a bit dry on the outside, but fluffy and delicious on the inside.

Anyway, after this, our friends were still not ready to leave the hotel room, so we took full advantage of our extra time in the park and took more magic photos and we rode Little Mermaid and the People Mover. What an amazing morning!

Around 11:00, we walked back over to the Grand Floridian and met up with our friends. It took us about 20-25 min. It was cold, so we were walking a bit faster than normal. We shopped the gift shops and we were going to grab lunch at the quick service, but nothing seemed all that appealing. We then walked back to the new Poly tower and checked out the art and architecture there! That was beautiful!! I mean, every detail was thought of, everything has a meaning. It’s a modern take on Polynesia, but its absolutely stunning.

We checked out the Wailulu Grill, but it was a little pricey for our crew and the menu was very limited. But we have it on our agenda to try at some point! We walked back to Captain Cooks and order lunch there again. My friend and I split the amazing and delicious super foods salad and the noodles with chicken. The other two ladies got the spicy korean chicken bowl.

We had a bit of time to kill, so we hung out in the lobby for awhile. We did some shopping, traded some pins, and talked to people. One of the ladies was like, “What is the ice cream that everyone keeps getting? Where are they getting it?” And we were like,  “The Dole Whip?!” and then we took her promptly to the dole whip window outside the lobby at the Poly. She got pineapple and my friend and I shared the Coconut. It is so delicious! A favorite for sure. And yes, my friend did lover hers too.

After the Dole Whip, we loaded up in the car and made it back to the airport for our flight just in time for it to be delayed. Gotta love MCO.
