Tuesday Brunch –

We started off Tuesday Morning with no breakfast, just some coffee. In reality we were all stuffed still from the rich dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe. After our Architecture Tour at the Wilderness Lodge, we had a reservation for whispering Canyon Cafe. It was a fun breakfast!  We got seated and our waitress was sweet but sassy. A perfect combination for us! We each ordered a different skillet. I got the light one, my daughter for the regular one and they had a gluten free one for my mom. Everything was delicious! I ate almost every last bite. I got the Oatmeal and yogurt first and ate all of that, then thoroughly enjoyed the turkey bacon and turkey sausage and egg white frittata. My mom and Mia loved all of theirs as well. It was a lot of food, and we surely didn’t need to buy the all you can eat skillet, but it was delicious and a fun thing to do! We saw shenanigans happening around us, but none directly to us, which was appreciated. And we sat right next to a window with some beautiful landscaping. It was a fun experience.

Tuesday Snack-

After we left Wilderness Lodge, we went to the Rivera for an art scavenger hunt, but they were no longer doing that. So we pin traded and walked around a bit. It is a beautiful resort, we were going to get coffee there, but decided instead to head over to the cake bake shop for tea and a snack. (After we popped into Epcot and bought some Mango Mochi! Annual passes are the best!)

We didn’t have a reservation, but they were not busy. We got seated about 5 min after we arrived. I decided on an iced coconut latte and a bowl of fruit. My mom ordered their Carcadet pot of tea and my daughter ordered the lemonade and a bowl of the chicken velvet soup. Everything was delicious and covered in that amazing edible glitter. We LOVE Cake Bake shop. They even still had all of their Christmas decorations up! It was beautiful! My iced coconut Latte was delicious! They even still put the toasted coconut around the rim of the glass. The chicken Velvet soup and the Carcadet tea are two of my favorite things about The Cake Bake Shop. We decided to forgo the dessert. Although we did go into the gift shop and mom was too tempted to try the gluten free brownie, so we got it to try. It wasn’t wrapped or anything, they just put it in a bag for us, so it was a little crunchy and stale on top, but it was a good solid brownie and you couldn’t tell that it was gluten free. It had a rich dark chocolatey flavor.

Tuesday Dinner –

After all of our crazy escapades, we decided to go back to the hotel room to rest for a while before we went to Disney Springs for the evening. We stopped at the food court and got gummy rainbow candies to snack on in the room. We were pretty hungry by the time we got to Disney Springs, so we ate right away at Earl of Sandwich. I have been waiting for the right time to try their thanksgiving Sandwich and tonight was the night! My daughter got a turkey sandwich and my mom got the Caprese salad. My sandwich was delicious for about two bites, then it was just too much for me. Although I did eat the whole thing! I was expecting the turkey to be fresh like a turkey breast, but it was a slimy turkey lunch meat. so that was a bit disappointing. And I was expecting the dressing to be regular or sage, but it was a cornbread stuffing. So that was a bit of a disappointment as well. I really like lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions on my sandwiches, so i don’t know what i was thinking. But, I am glad I finally got to order it! It was good, just not my taste.

My daughter loved her turkey sandwich. The bread was fresh and they heated it up for her. My mom also really liked her salad, but wished it had more basil!

we’ve always had a solid meal at Earl of Sandwich, and I am sure we will eat there again and again.

Wednesday Morning –

My mom and daughter decided that they would eat at the airport. I woke up early and went down to the food court where I got may favorite breakfast on property: the Avocado breakfast bowel. This is a bowl of tater tots covered with scrambled eggs, avocado, black beans, salsa and cheese. I had it with a cup of coffee and it really hit the spot! I love that breakfast.

That was it! We ate our way around the Disney resorts and loved it! Definitely Quick service breakfast at Sanaa and snack at Cake Bake shop were our favorites!
