Extra Room Availability Trick
We finally got together with our friends and booked our trip! I feel so much more excited and relaxed knowing that this is planned! We usually stay at the All Stars, but they were booked up this close to our time of travel. Or were they?? I wound up booking a standard village room at Coronado Springs for a pretty great rate. But then I was playing around with rooms and I realized something.
So for example: I was first searching under their 25% off spring time promotion.
The best deal was Coronado Springs. But, when I hit that other rectangle, the one that just ominously says Room:
The price raised for Coronado Springs, but if you click on the section with your dates and party to change your search, and hit All Resort Hotels:
The the valuie hotels will pop up at their regular rack rate! All Star Sports was out of rooms for their 25% off promotion, but they have plenty of rooms left at their rack rate!
I just saved over $50 a night by shopping rooms that are NOT on sale. So if all rooms seems booked, always make sure to toggle between sales and not on sale. Because an All Stars rack rate room will always beat a deluxe resort with a discount.
